In The Beginning

Where it started

‘Keep moving…’ These were the words she took away from their conversation. Severally, she had caught herself asking ‘How did it begin’?
Looking back, she could see how long they’ve come, and they just have to be strong together.
Everything in life has its beginning. And like we would say ‘today is my first day’. It could be your first time in anything; work, school, a relationship or a TV show. But you know every experience, awful or awesome, started somewhere.

Let the good news roll out
First, I’m Gospel Lekia, commonly known as Lekia. Some friends prefer it shorter with Yiga(middle name).

The focus of Christian Living would be on the Christian faith, sustaining our pilgrimage on earth, and occupying till the Lord comes as the Bible admonishes.
I can remember several times I’ve wanted to migrate my blog to a new domain, but never found time - well that is just an excuse. Truthfully, I’ve been procrastinating it. And yeah, you’re right to call me that name. I thought if it must begin, I must consciously and deliberately press the ‘DO’ button. So here we are together. Aren’t you excited for me?

Are there things you’ve wanted to do but haven’t found the ‘perfect time’? I believe you’ve heard the saying ‘there is no perfect time’. So, ‘just do it’.

In the beginning
Two prominent passages in the Bible read ‘In the beginning…’ Genesis 1 vs 1 and John 1 vs 1. Both are the opening verse and the opening chapter of a book. And you know you’ve to open the Bible to find those passages, right?
Genesis: ‘In the beginning, God created…’ paints the picture of a God who takes action and requires us to do the same. No matter how nice your thoughts are, you must take action to get a result. Take action to start a great journey or action to end a terrible experience. For each of us, one or both could be applicable. Sincerely, we all have little adjustments to make here and there. The former speaks of the beginning of a great journey and the latter the beginning of the end of a demeaning experience. And do you know where it begins? It all begins with a choice.
