14 “O my dove, that are in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see your countenance, let me hear your voice; for sweet is your voice, and your countenance is comely.
15 Take us the Foxes, the little Foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
16 My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feeds among the lillies.”
Many Foxes spoil the Man and his relationship with his Creator, including the Church. Those foxes are peculiar to each individual and His Church. God knows every one “little” fox that may exist in us. Sadly, but true, this limits God's work in any Soul or place. God will not go back on His word. He will not look upon an unrepentant sinner. He will not let down his standards for His Church, there's no point wasting useful time trying to deceive our conscience. That we chose to let these fox(es) remain means literally that we have chosen to be short of God's work and move in us. We decide our fate for he has given us freewill.
These foxes for want of doubt refers to Sin. It could be Outright sins or inward backsliding. However, two personality knows best, the individual man and the Lord. Only one Sacrifice and it was enough to make us whole of every evil in us. Let us run to the cross and take off the fox(es), leaving them at his feet, and never return to them but return to a tender, loving sensitive and sweet walk with our beloved Lord. Take away your own fox.
