“Remember now your creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days come not, not the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them;
While the sun, or the light, or the moon, or the stars, be not darkened, not the clouds return after the rain…” Ecclesiastes 12:1-2
The best time to remember God is in the youthful days when strength is at its best. The average youth has lots of dreams for his future. Alas, God cones behind. The days come when even if the desire to serve the Lord rises to 100 degrees, there will be little or no strength for fulfilment. Then, we would wish we had known better. Jesus promises a reward; rewards will surpass reward, not based on how large or great one’s calling may be but, on how well he did that which was apportioned to him. No man is born as a mistake except if he chooses to be one. One of the greatest mistakes is leaving God out of our dreams and aspirations. The young man who has prioritised his life activities right is the one to whom God is on top of his list.
We remember God when we give him our lifetime, not in songs alone but in reality, he is first in every day's activity for he deserves it, we study to learn more from the holy scriptures, submit to accountable and trustworthy discipleship, and pray all forms of prayer and look up for all we may need in life.
What will you remember today?
