We are constantly in search of meaning. This is intrinsic in our nature. Without complexity, we’re truth seekers. However, this may not be obvious due to the evil that lurks beneath our skin.
This discussion is a laser focus on the bull’s eye— everything else maybe great.
Looking at Genesis 1 vs 1 - 3, the text of our discussion from previous issues, we’d notice the earth was without form, void and dark. In verse 3, God takes the first step in solving these problems. It’s embodied in the verse, which we’d consider as follows.
And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. Genesis 1 vs 3 —KJV.
God has spoken (“And God said …”)
From experience, the best way to solve a problem is first understanding the problem. Several things were wrong with the earth, but the foremost was ‘darkness’. This darkness touched everything the earth possessed. Nothing was possible as long as the darkness lingered. The way forward was to get rid of the darkness.
You can’t speak of filling the earth and moulding it to shape without light. It’s a waste of time and effort talking about transformation in the presence of darkness. No, it isn’t possible. You wouldn’t just be able to find your way around. It doesn’t matter how skilful you were. You need light. And so it’s not a surprise, the first thing God tackled was the issue of darkness. He said, “let there be light”.
Light is everything”, and only light can shine in the darkness.
Darkness would mess everything up even though there was beauty anywhere. Good labour can’t be appreciated because of the darkness. Darkness respects no one. It hides and swallows everything. It respects no academic degree or civilization. It’s synonymous to death. Darkness in the heart of an individual turns them into a beast. Nothing can tame it. You can’t scare darkness away. You can’t protest against it, neither can you educate yourself out of it; only light can deal with ‘darkness’.
A person can be well informed but their residence is in the heart of this darkness. They argue with the word of God. They will bring every logic to refute the word of God. They would do the exact opposite, even when it’s obvious what God has commanded. They hate the idea of surrendering and following God and consider those who surrender as weaklings. They claim ownership over their own life. Some only profess but their actions reject Him. They pursue self-improvement and work very hard at their task but has no place for God in their lives. “They have gone every man their own way” (Isa 53:6). The issue stems from no other but darkness.
Perhaps you’re so busy; I agree with you … everything is good but without the light, it would all end up in the trash. God has spoken, but what are you doing about it?God’s Solution for the Depraved Heart (“… let there be light”)
You can’t win by struggling with it. The more you struggle, the deeper you sink.
The solution is absolute surrender, not to the devourer but, to the deliverer. Nothing can wash away the sin of a man. None else could heal all our souls’ diseases: No, not one!
The only solution is light. This is the light that lighted every one that came into the world. A sinner can’t know peace without the light. The restlessness and vacuum in your heart won’t end without light. The whole world lies in darkness, but the light illuminates. Light makes it possible, (to find direction).
You may have some happy moments here and there, keep company with friends, raise kids, have a lovely partner, work in the best places, attend religious gatherings, and be involved in humanitarian activities; but without the LIGHT, it’s a complete waste. He made atonement for the sin of the world. He has made an open call to everyone, “come unto me”. John buttress it when he said: “… Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world”. He is available to everyone, he is available to you; an open fountain that can never run dry.Christ came in the world (“… and there was light”)
The invitation to ‘life’ went out more than two thousand (2000) years ago.
Christ came to seek and to save the lost. This is the gospel. He has no intension that anyone should perish, but that all should come to repentance. However, some had deliberately rejected salvation, and outrightly deny their redeemer. He came to his own but his own knew him not, as many that receive him he gives the power to become children of God. Why continue in pains when Christ is here already and has born the sin of the world on himself? You ought not to be sick because He has taken that sickness upon himself. I plead with you to be reconciled to God, as the time is short. In all our pursuit on earth, the most important thing is that we’re saved and now is the acceptable time of salvation. I put an honest question to you today. Are you free from darkness, are you save from sin and self? Everything else is great but this is what matters most.
Beautiful and inspiring!!!! Indeed this generation needs that light that outshines every darkness, and that light is Jesus. He makes everything beautiful when he steps in. I pray for
more anointing for you to do the extraordinary. Amen!
